Country Style

Boy did I get a surprise early this week when I found out that Little Black Crow Studio was mentioned in the latest issue of Country Style.
So who was it that was talking about me?
Off to the newsagent I went and bought myself a copy and there on page100 was a feature with Natalie and her beautiful shop Nest in Penguin, Natalie mentioned my name along with bunting extraordinaire Luisa Pollard from Dance in my Garden  and Heather Shennan from Belle Bird as being a couple of the local Tasmanian artists she represents.
This edition of Country Style is just gorgeous, and there are feture articles on other Tasmanians..Lee and Chris Adamson Ringk who own a Christmas tree farm at Glengarry where the photo for the front cover was taken.
THANK YOU Nat!!

Little Goth Girl

finally finished my little goth girl for my Art Dolls only challenge, her name is Beatrice, her story is one of tragedy and horror...like all good Gothic tales should be! Beatrice and her black teddy bear forever roam the desolate plains of Pontville searching, always searching for what she can't remember. It's been too long.

The Valley market

The  Valley Market update..What only one photo....yep that was all I was able to take as I was kept busy from the moment the doors opened to the public till the doors closed. Every stall holder had exceptional work all hand made and all beautifully displayed.
Even though the weather turned nasty outside we still had quite a number of people coming through the door. Thank you to all who stopped by my stall to have a look at my work, chat with me and buy my dolls and art works. A big thank you to our hard working organizer Mel for making this such an enjoyable and fun market, the musicians were fantastic!
The few stall holders I met were truely amazing and so professional with years of experience, a fellow doll maker, who's colorful table you can see opposite..so many different styles of dolls made by one person was awesome not to forget her lovely quilts and quilted Santa boots!
And dangerously too close, my stall neighbor Dannielle from 'The Fudge A'Fare'. I'm not a chocolate person, really I'm not but my partner is so I investigated on his behalf and after taste testing each flavor I decided on the macadamia chocolate....yummo!
Apart from chocolate I purchased a tiny ephemeral angel made by my good friend Ginny from 'Blossom Town Tea Caddies'

four more Threadbare Annies

Becky, my first holiday witch...she didn't like the first dress I made her!
This little one argued with one of the other dolls, she wanted her dress...I had to give in, in the end!
This little one gave me no trouble at all.
And this little girl was such a little sweetie that I gave her a little kitty and sent her to Spain!
I love making these patterns but have decided that these maybe the last four I'll be doing...so get them while you can this weekend or the next at the Valley Market and Nook Market. If they don't sell there you will find them in my etsy shop!

I'm really excited about the up coming Valley Market in Lenah Valley community hall, so many new things will be there on offer here is just a few of those!!

Frosty is a new design made by me, he is 13 inches high, filled with off cuts from my sewing...I knew I kept it for a reason. he has been primed over a beige canvas, sanded and then varnished with a mix of crushed glass. Frosty and myself will be at the Valley Market on the 20th of November and at Nook Market on the 27th of November...should be a great day out I'm looking forward to seeing what other stall holders have been busying themselves with.

BRAND NEW!! Angel jewelry boxes....so much fun making these!

 Santa ornaments for your tree:)
Xmas time Raggedy Annie's with Xmas brooches!

Thank you to everyone who commented to my last post.

Apart from Xmas I've also been planning ahead for next year and its going to be filled with lots of new enterprises..stay tuned!
