One World One Heart

Welcome to Little Black Crow's Studio, my name is Grace other wise known as Little black Crow.I live in Tasmania. This is the first time I've participated in Lisa's amazing One World One Heart give away and I must say I'm so excited....as is my little bunny below who has put up his little arm to be the lucky door prize for someone special. Comments will be left open till the 17th of February when I will be doing hosting a draw to see who the lucky winner is.

 

Hi my name is Glen I live in Tasmania, that is the little island off Australia.
I am so thrilled to be part of the One World One Heart Giveaway!!
I'm made from coffee stained calico that has been waxed, making me smell like cinnamon biscuits!
My Breeches are brown tartan with little vintage buttons attached. My shoes and socks are hand painted to my legs so I will never loose them!
My eyes are chocolate brown buttons and my ears have little hearts printed on them!

lights switched on and  ....

The stage was set...

Two weeks ago my brother. Andrew came to stay with us. At a following gourmet dinner an exhibition was proposed. I thought the idea funny, and said that I didn't have enough work for an exhibition! My partner nearly fell off his chair and said 'just go have a look in your studio'. I have to admit the painting racks where full. A lot of art work that dated from the early 80's and quite a few from recent years became available from their place of storage. There was an abundance of work to hang.
Two weeks of hard work by my partner, (Pig), Andrew and myself converted our living room into a gallery.

Andrew was curator and did a wonderful job of arranging my artwork. He also teamed up with a local musician, Tor Fredheim to provide entertainment for the night.
The kitchen produced scrumptious delights for the guests.

 6 pm and the guests started arriving....

 Drinks poured and lots of conversation...

 A wonderful night was had by all...thank you to everyone who attended.

Art on Walls and Boxes, Open House Art Exhibition

Clifton Pugh's first Dunmoochin studio where I'd completed a two month residency in 2010.

Little Black Crow will be working like a buzz ass bee for the next few weeks as she prepares for an exhibition and paintings for SGS Gallery in Melbourne.... and a private solo exhibition in Hobart.

I'll be handing out flyers and sending emails to friends and Tassie family for Art on Walls and Boxes, opening Friday 28 Jan. OS friends are welcome too if you happen to be flying this way.
