I sent Little black crows 'little black crow' off to Meet me at Mikes in Fitzroy. They are raising money for a great charity called 'Softies for Mirabel'. All the toys are auctioned off on ebayand those not sold are donated to the children of families whose lives have been affected by substance abuse.
After making so many stuffed toys using other peoples patterns I decided to make my own.
I used a ruler and drew up the pattern on brown paper! Not my usual style of just letting my sewing machine do the walking for me, (like taking a line for a walk when drawing- Miro).
It didn't turn out too badly but there is room for improvements.
I've drawn so many little doodles for toys lately I don't know if I'm ever going to have the time to finish them...maybe one doll a day???
