Another day at the market!
last Sunday was spent at Eastside Makers Market, just a small stall this time as I've been concentrating on new products and paintings for galleries, commissions, (yes Ben if your reading this I'm starting yours today)!

But I did manage a weeks worth of painting some new jewelry boxes.  I sold a couple of these..but I'm happy that I didn't sell the little red sailor girl..I'm keeping her for myself!

A view from my stall...and look who was just opposite me...I couldn't have been more happy, but one of my friends Ginny from Blossom Town Tea Caddies! Ginny and I have been friends for years, but this is the first time we had stalls at the same market! Ginny makes the most fabulous tea caddies fashioned from her own paper mache, up-cycled cardboard, found objects, paint and clay!

Ginny also hand paints cards, depicting the Tasmanian countryside, wild life and comical characters!

The tea caddies are designed on historic houses and buildings around Tasmania. You can find Ginny's work at Artefacts Gallery in Salamanca.

That market looks like so much fun! Your little painted boxes are so adorable - I can understand completely why you'd want to keep one pretty for yourself. Your friend's work is so wonderful! I hope you both did really well. :) Theresa
