doll clothes
here are som pics, I had a lot of fun taking these, of the dolls clothes I made, the dresses are adapted from threadbares patterns. I cut close to under the sleeve area and sew a pleated skirt from the same fabric. Only the bottom part of the skirt is hemmed. I was worried about the fabric fraying to much around the sleeve and neck opening so I blanket stiched around the areas with pearl thread.
As for the pantaloons, don't you just love that word, I adapted another pattern for a much smaller doll. As my girls are a little chubby. Very happy with how these turned out. I loved the white crispness of the fabric especially after spray starching and ironing them.
The pantaloons I attached to the dolls bodies with little vintage buttons. One at the back and two at the front.

gorgeous little dresses...they seem to have a life of their own!
I love the idea of finishing the edges with a button hole stitch. makes it a lovely and functional finish.
Soooooooooooo VERY cute!
